Ved-ee Inter-d-esting!

Firguring Out God
Prophecy and other scary words

By: Resa LaRu Kirkland

Reading some scriptures last night--that I've read a million times before--seemed to have new meaning with current events. Could this be what we are seeing happen right now?

Here's what I was reading, and what I thought of it. (Only the Prophet can speak with any authority about God's direction for His gospel, but we are ALL--as God's children--entitled to the gifts of prophecy, discernment, and understanding concerning everything else in our lives and the lives of those we love or have responsibility over, so lay claim to it people and use it! NOW!)

Daniel 11: 21-22
21 And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.
22 And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.

First of all, let me stress that I do NOT believe that these verses are speaking of the anti-Christ, if there is a single person he is meant to represent. All men who seek to steal your freedom and set themselves above you, anyone who is a respecter of persons and believes you must do as THEY say--and NOT what is right--are anti-Christs. That was the war in Heaven and that is the war now--between those who want free will (Christ's plan)and those who want force(Lucifer's plan).

A vile person who shall obtain the kingdom by flatteries, to whom the people will NOT give the honour of the kingdom? Does that mean the majority will not elect him? I'll get to that in a minute...only a few verses later there seems to be a confirmation of that fact.

But verse 22 is the one that shook me given recent calamitous events. "...with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant."

My original belief is that this was referring to Israel proper, because the verses before it were speaking of the king of the North--north of Israel is Syria and Lebanon with its Syria-backed Hezbollah--and the king of the South--south of Israel is Egypt and Jordan, who is NOT our friend, or Israel's--coming to Israel. It is chilling that right now Israel is in negotiations with Syria THROUGH Egypt.

Then the last part made me think that Daniel could be referring to America. You see, OT speaks a great deal of two Houses of Israel in the last days: Judah and Joseph. In fact, it states repeatedly that the greater blessing was bestowed on Joseph's seed, and that they would be the one to restore Israel and save Judah, that the stick of Judah (Bible) and the stick of Joseph (Book of Mormon) shall join together as a confirmation of the truth. While Judah has been restored to the land covenanted to Abraham's seed, it is a marvelous wonder that every archaeologist has confirmed that those who peopled England, Scotland, Ireland, and Western Europe all descended from whom? Joseph. And what lands were all the founding fathers from? I rest my case. So I have a sneaking suspicion that this is possibly a reference to the Joes.

Then I remembered that God was speaking to Israel, not just Judah or Joseph. This could be a warning to all 12 tribes which people this earth, and the two nations we know for sure are peopled by the covenant people of Judah and Joseph: Israel and America. However, for the sake of this article, and because I live in America, I will focus on the Joe side of this ancient prophecy regarding Israel.

With the promises and blessings of Joseph being the greatest and resulting in the larger branch of Israel who saves and restores the smaller branch of Israel--a blatant reference to America restoring the state of Israel if I've ever heard one!--it sounds to me like the financial devastation that the floods are causing will be the final straw that breaks the back of the American capitalist system, plunging us full force into the creeping, Stalinistic communism that has been nibbling on our nation since the late 1950's.(It will probably be sold to us as the "temporary and urgent" result of tornadoes, floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, cost of food, oil, etc. When has government of the past 100 years EVER kept its promise of temporary measures, taxes, etc?) The state will then take everything, own all land and companies, and we will go from working half the year for the state(which we do now, as every dime we make in our first six months of work each year goes to government taxes)to working around the clock for the state, who will provide us with housing(cheap crap, ala the USSR), food(not enough, ala the USSR), utilities(which will only work part of the time, ala the USSR), and jobs for the state(where hard work is viewed with suspicion while mediocrity is rewarded, ala the USSR). All of this will leave us permanently indebted to the state and never being able to work enough to free ourselves from government-sanctioned slavery. Enjoy the last minutes of the middle class...it’s been gone longer than we think.

And if it happens to the House of Joseph, we will see it mirrored in the House of Judah, for the call is to all of Israel.

And then there is this: we have long been a nanny-state, where many do not work, or sacrifice for their daily bread(Adam was commanded that to "sacrifice" by the sweat of his brow to provide for Eve, so that she would be free to raise up a righteous generation unto God. Adam's sacrifice was working hard, as Eve's was coming close to death to bear children and "sacrificing" her life in order to raise them well). That makes me wonder regarding this scripture: Daniel 11: 31-- And arms shall stand on his part(he shall control armies?), and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength(the land of the covenanted Joes?), and shall take away the daily sacrifice(individual work and capitalism?), and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate(forcing people to work for the state?). Is the taking away of the "daily sacrifice" actually the taking away of our own motivation, the creeping apathy that has stolen our hard-won freedoms, our own desire to create and work for the good of our family and instead being forced into servitude for the state? Is the abomination which maketh desolate that of communism? Well, how many communist nations do you know of that have ever been prosperous? They're all pretty desolate. And since the idea of being forced to do a thing instead of being allowed to choose for yourself was the plan of Satan, it has to be an abomination, right? And given the unholy alliance that communism has made with Islam--which is also a system of force over free will--will it be Islammunism that takes over? Just a thought.

And now for that confirmation I mentioned:

Daniel 11: 23
23 And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people.

This could very well mean that this leader would be elected by the minority. Blacks are a minority, so are femmies and liberals. Blacks, femmies, and liberals combined don't even come close to the majority, and absolutely believe in the welfare state, the idea that people must submit to them. Now Bill Clinton was the first to be elected without a majority--remember that he never, in either election, broke above the 40-48%--so it will be interesting to see how this election plays out.

Remember, this is what I'm saying, not the Prophet, so please bear in mind that the odds I'm wrong are greater than the odds I'm right. However, as God's daughter, I like you am entitled to any knowledge I study and pray about. The interesting thing I've always noticed when asking Father for help is that the Spirit usually answers with a question, causing me to use the knowledge I already have, the words of the prophet, and logical sequences to come to the truth. This is right in line with Father's teaching that we have in us Deity's DNA, that we can accomplish and overcome everything, and as such have everything we will ever need to know everything. Ain't it cool?

OK, back to work.

Daniel 11: 24
24 He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers;

He won't come in by force, but by election, or so it will seem. Then, when the country collapses, it will be because we have put in a leader who will not do what his fore-fathers--past leaders--have done. That means he will NOT uphold the Constitution, nor will he honor the Judeo-Christian foundations upon which it was built. America as it has been for over 200 years will cease to exist. It'll happen quickly too.

Daniel 11: 32
32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

Apparently he will ally himself with enemies of Israel, which as I've stated, includes us Joes as well as the Jews, meaning he will be against us, too. Also, as far as I know, the LDS church is the only Christian religion that doesn't preach that their members are the only ones who will survive the last days. We believe that the "righteous people of the earth" are the ones who will stand for God, and that includes people who live to the best of their knowledge of God and whatever portion of His Gospel they possess; peoples of all religions and beliefs who know that what is happening is wrong and back it up will NOT be ignored by their Father. God does NOT hold His children accountable for knowledge they don't have; only man is foolish enough to do that.

The LDS church teaches that these righteous people will flee to the Rocky Mountains and there uphold and defend the Constitution. It is interesting to note that the Northwest has seen the greatest migration of people in the past 20 years, and remains a conservative and Judeo-Christian stronghold. That can NOT be a coincidence.

Daniel 11: 33
33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.

If you understand, get to instructing. You have an obligation to do so, even if it means you pay for it with your life. And when the "vile person" rules, you very well may.

Do it anyway.

Daniel 11: 35
35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

These are all precursors to the final battle; it is not yet. There's still work to accomplish. Some will fall in the defense of freedom, and it will only serve to make His people better, stronger, more pure. And evil STILL believes it can thwart the plan of God. Talk about serious denial.

Daniel 11: 36
36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

Pretty self-explanatory, don't you think? This leader will do what he wants, and get rich doing it, until God is fully indignant....then comes the Mighty Smitey!

Daniel 11: 37-39
37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.(I know many think this means that this man will be a homosexual, but I'm thinking it might mean he is mysoginistic, a man who hates and subjugates women. Now what 1.5 billion population of peoples does THAT?)
38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
(There's that term "force" again. He will be a man who forces, since Satan is the god of force, not a believer in free will, and he will worship a God his fathers never knew, a "strange god." The original followers of Islam worshiped the God of Abraham. It wasn't until Muhammed that an ancient moon-God was co-opted and labeled "Allah", a strange god that his father's knew not.)
39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.
(The wealthiest nations are Islamic, but only a few "favorites" of the leaders take part in it; the people are poor, backwards and ignorant. You have to be one f****d up leader to manage that.)

Daniel 12: 1
1 AND at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Both the Jews and the Mormons (Joes) believe in the book of life. Get your name in it asap, and you will be delivered. This is the only such promise of hope and total survival I have been able to find in Daniel.

Daniel 12: 10
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

Understand? 'Cause if you don't, time to re-evaluate...

Daniel 12: 11-12
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

So if my theory is correct, from the time communism is set up by the "vile man" there will be 1290 days. Those that make it to 1335 day mark will have made it. That's a difference of 45 days. Of course, all bets are off if this is the old "one day actually equals a year" thing that we often see in the scriptures. In that case, my bet would be that Christ ended the old daily sacrifice with His sacrifice, and by the Hebrew calendar we are to the 1290+ part, still struggling to make it to 45 years, from whatever date began the 45 day/year countdown.

And now I have a headache.

Fortunately, God does nothing without telling His prophet, so please watch what LDS prophet Thomas S. Monson says and does. I know, I know, you’re not a Mormon. Big whoop…do it anyway. Just as I watch others and read and study about them, watch and study this man. I have found that when these men in the service of God speak, the message is magnificent. As President Gordon B. Hinckley said, shortly before he died earlier this year, when he was asked about troubling times, “The future has never looked brighter.”

Ah…now THAT’S a prophecy I can live with!

Keep the faith, bros, in all things courage, and no substitute for VICTORY.
