LOWRYleaks; Pulitzer Prize Nominee Speaks from USS Bataan

***Cross posted at LibertyPundits***

Gather 'round the old time radio...

The message came late Wednesday night, from Richard S. Lowry, a military historian currently embedded on the USS Bataan. He sent the message to his Internet Radio show, LOWRYleaks on SyndicatedNews.NET.

On receipt of his message, the SyndicatedNews.NET management team immediately began to prepare the message for public broadcast. One of the partner/owners of SyndicatedNews.NET is a retired military veteran who gives Lowry’s words a voice.  Another partner/owner is John McEuen, best known as one of the founders of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. He embraces Lowry’s words in beautiful music.

And in these 5 minutes on an online radio show, we get a glimpse of military history past and in the making from this award winning author and recent Pulitzer Prize nominee, who kindly shares an incredible experience with those who will never see what he sees, know what he knows, or live at an altitude where only eagles dare.

Lowry’s segments hearken back to the WWII era radio shows and newsreels.  Not the fast-talking staccato of old Walter Winchell pieces, but the resonating tones told from the heart, stories of valor and heartbreak that have painted their crimson path across all free nations and righteous causes.

And it is truly a pleasure to listen, and to know that this nation gave rise to such men, back then and today.  Thank you Richard, for giving us this glimpse of glory from the kind of men only freedom can grow.

Richard Lowry, Military Historian

What a wonderful gift in a time fraught with ominous portending, this voice of gentle heralding telling us who we were is still who we are, if we will but listen.

Keep the faith, bros, in all things courage, and no substitute for VICTORY.
